I hope everyone was able to catch Mater’s Tall Tales on Toon Disney this week. Those of you who saw it, what did you think? I thought it was great! All 3 were very funny, and debuted lots of new characters and variations of existing characters. My personal favorite was Mater the Greater.
I also hope you know that Mattel wouldn’t pass up the opportunity for more cool diecast Cars. In fact, the Collector Guide Mattel is putting out for next year, which comes with Night Vision McQueen, natch, has details on the Cars Toons toys. The 2009 Guide, not yet released, lists Cars #111-115 as follows.

Which ones will we likely see? Well, the ones already announced tell us something. The already announced Cars Toons Cars are from Rescue Squad Mater. The Cars listed as being made are all versions of the main characters, plus Mia & Tia. So if made, those are the versions we will likely see first.
My favorite was Daredevil McQueen from Mater the Greater where Mater “lets” McQueen jump the canyon instead of him. If you didn’t see it, picture Lightning McQueen with big rockets strapped to his back. My second favorite would be Nurse GTO. Although, not a main character, how awesome would it be to have a GTO Cars toy? Need I say more?

Does anyone know when the show will be on next? I watch all three last night with my little boy and he LOVE them I am looking to record them. I would also love to see El Matardor,Bulldozers and Mater the Greater. Right now I working on making my son a Mater the Greater and maybe a Davedevil Rocket Pack Lightning. I have already made him a El Matardor, Bulldozer and Frank with a little various to avoid the “fury of the Mouse”.

Aww, man! Since it’s a true bummer that I don’t have cable whatsoever, I can’t watch Cars Toons. Thanks to Leslie for the video links! I’ll bet I’ll be watching those all day! Heh, heh….
Anyway, the one I’m itching to see is El Materdor. I saw a commercial for it once when I was doing laundry in my apartment’s laundromat. Can’t wait!
We started seeing these videos on the Disney Channel. I saw Materdor at about 2:45 on Tuesday the 4th. We saw Mater the Greater on Wednesday the 5th between 4 and 5, I think.
My son wants the characters in the little 1:55 cars. Argh they are doing this so I will trip over MORE cars!

No, I haven’t heard about any plans for that. I do know that they plan to show them again on ABC Family during the 25 Days of Christmas in December, but I don’t know the schedule.
Do you have any idea if Disney plans to release the cartoons on DVD. I’m on the east coast and missed them too, not that it will stop me from scooping up the new releases of the diecasts of course!

I think its great for these Carstoons to be released, but until we are done with the Cars movie diecasts, I really don’t think Mattel should start making others.
I checked daily but for some reason 6:56 ET wasn’t right for my local market! But your pictures made we cry for joy. I’m an old NASCAR collector of 1/64th 1989 to present. I always tell people the car-make changes, the sponsor, the driver, the paint jobs, etc, etc. But I now find myself at the Cars pegs first and then I remember, Oh yeah check NASCAR. I now know that Cars is forever; and I’m happy. I have to buy 2 each; one for me and one for the Grandson. (He has 94 different ones so far. Me 78; in the beginning I stayed with the Piston Cups only. Now it’s all!!!)
