I hope everyone is having a great holiday so far! If you’ve made it out to the stores today, you may have noticed that Wal-Mart has a great deal this weekend on a new Mack Transporter. We have seen the Transporter before, but this one comes packaged with Nitroade, Bob Cutlass and Bumper Save. This is the first non-exclusive release of Bumper Save. The only previous release was as part of the Motor Speedway of the South.
The sale price for the Transporter this weekend is $10. This is a great deal even if you are just getting it for Bumper Save. At my Wal-Mart today, this was the only new Cars diecast item they had, and they had a ton of them. But after this weekend, the price will likely go up so if you want it, get one now.

Wal-mart Albany, Georgia has them stacked in a shopping cart in the main toy aisle at $3.00. They never put them out in bulk after Thanksgiving, never put them on an endcap; just displayed them under the regular pegs. They seem to forgot how to merchandise.
New pics up from Case C
Check out my new Blog, I only got pics of Snot rod chase but the others will be up tomorrow. Spot the differences
Has anyone one found the Chick Hicks or King Transporter at any stores? I would really like to find both of them.
Oh how I wish we had half-of the stuff you guys do. My sone is Cars mad and as an American in the UK we get nothing until about 6 months to a year after the US gets it. I have just spent hours going through your list and sorting out what we need and I am sending it off to my whole family in hopes that they can find it. I have to go to about 500 stores to find anything and I am even known for going through the boxes that toys r us leaves on the floor waiting for them to go on the shelf. Anyone else in the UK who can help with a list of what we can actually get over here? Maybe I should call our local Mattel and see if they can help.
I first read this blog at 6:08pm and yelled to my wife; “We got to go back to Wal-mart!” Our 3rd trip today. Once at 5a.m. to make sure nothing new was out from the night before. Again at 3p.m. to make sure my appointment was still on for Monday to see the 4 way in the stockroom. I missed the transporter this morning because I thought it was the same one with Snotrod and buddies. So at 6:15 with fingers crossed and a little prayer I found our wal-mart still had 5 infront of the 3 Snotrods. As far as large size for $5 we had 5 Al Oft, same as the past 3 weeks.
Thank for the heads-up on the Bumper Saver version. I got one for me and one for the Grandson.
The Walmart in my town in Massachusetts had everything. The Mack transporter (tons left), the December pallet and all 6 oversized characters. I picked up all the new ones from the B case, the Mack and each of the oversized ones. Everthing was basiclly untouched at 5pm. I guess I just got lucky.
Dave you should call Walmart corporate. Trust me it sounds like tatling, but if you don’t no one will. Send them pictures get name. Document the times you went and what people said to you. AND TURST ME the management will deal with it. There are ways to teach people who have service jobs that service is their goal without having them treat you like that.
I went all my local stores and they had nothing new, and not just Cars toys but all toy lines. This is going to be one of the worst years, in terms of sales, for toys. One of my local Wal-Marts refuses to put out any new Cars toys, they still haven’t put out any of the oversize die-cast cars. They claim they won’t bring them out until they sell the 40 Dinoco Mcqueens on ripped cards they have hanging on the pegs, even though I told them that nobody wants them and by the time they put out the stuff they have in back nobody will want them either. The real reason they won’t bring them out is that the three “ladies” that work in the toy department hate all toy collectors, for awhile they were tearing and bending all the Treasure Hunts cards from the Hotwheels line. My next step is to complain to the regional manager.
I got mine and it was the only new thing here. I went to tons of stores. I will be posting case C pics on Monday.
