Case D Greta, Damaged King Available Now

Greta

Cars Race O Rama case D is now shipping, so it should be arriving at stores soon. Does anyone have Cars fatigue yet? Anyway, new Cars in case D include Greta and Damaged King. Here’s a little background info on Greta from the “Meet the Cars” book.

Greta has decided to get a full-body makeover and a hot new flame job at Ramone’s House of Body Art. Tonight she’s going to see the renowned body shop quartet, The Rumbles. The baritone, Chet, is an old traffic-school teacher who she hasn’t seen in years, so she has to look her best.

Another interesting thing about case D, is that Mattel is bringing back some long gone and hard to find Cars, Bob Cutlass and Yeti. So it turns out, this is a great case for collectors with new Cars, new to you Cars, semi-retired Cars and no chase Car. The only challenge now is finding them. Here is the complete list.

  1. Nope. You’re right. That is an actual name change recently made by Mattel.

Name Change? I double checked it today. The single pack for the tow truck has the name “Race Track Tow Truck Tom” on it’s yellow name tag ticket. Mis-print, or do two Toms work for the Piston Cup Circuit?

Target had a case come in. Picked up Greta, Damaged King and Yeti. My daughter had given me Tumbleweed and Truck Fresh Pity for Christmas so I’m OK on case D. Now I just need a Damaged King for the Grandson. It’s not the Piston Cup but he and I will be at the Rolex 24 test session this weekend in Daytona. I know he will love it; he we memorized by the stunt car show at Disney Holleywood Studios just before Christmas.

I just picked up Shifty Drug and Vitoline launchers. I also got the new Finish Line 3 pack!

It has become a timing issue. The new cars do not stick around very long once they hit the pegs. There is heavy traffic volume in the toy aisles. Not only are the everyday collectors out searching but the holiday shoppers who in these tough economic times can no longer afford to drop $30 on a “Walkin Talkin McQueen” are finding a few singles for $3.49 each a better option. I know the cars are being put out becuase I have found the remaining cars from the case. Its a tough time of year.
