Now that the holidays are over, you may have noticed the Target reset is underway. If you have not seen it yet at your store, have faith, you should see it soon.
One of the nice things the January Target reset has brought Cars collectors is a set of Target exclusive Haulers. Each exclusive is a set which includes a racer, a pitty and a hauler. There are 3 sets so far, Team HTB, Team Dinoco, and Team Rust-eze. These are priced at $19.99.
Team HTB includes Chick Hicks hauler, Chick Hicks, and Bruiser Bukowski. Team Dinoco inlcudes the Dinoco hauler, King and Dinoco Pitty (Luke Pettlework). Team Rust-eze includes Mack and hauler, Lightning McQueen, and My Name is Not Chuck.

Our Wal-mart in Albany is still putting out new boxes of 2007 limited Wal-mart releases. Stocked up on 2 Charlie Pace Cars w/red tail lights yesterday. Plus bought Kori for my nephew in Houston.

I have Barney Stormin (Regular), Bruiser, Kori, Cactus mcqueen and ghostlight rmone. Went to a flea market one day, saw bruiser for $6! A offer I couldn’t refuse.
The Target haulers are pretty nice, but not worth the extra $$$. I’m kind of tired of Mattel releasing the same car in various packaging, I have noticed that a number of cars are released the following way;
1) Motor Speedway of the South Exclusive
2) Retailer Exclusive gift pack
3) Mail away exclusive
4) Three car gift pack
5) Launcher
6) Single card
7) Countless repaints
Now I know not all cars are released this way, some skip a few steps, but even though I think these are the best toys on the market and I will keep buying them, I am getting tired of paying big bucks for a car that may eventually be available on a single card. So for the time being I guess I have to keep my receipts and return my oversized Mack when I find the Mack Hauler, after all there is no point of owning both.
Sorry for the double comment — just saw all three individual haulers are available for $13.99 on the Toys R Us website. Good luck!
I have seen the plain haulers at Target and Walmart – just today in fact. They aren’t flying off the shelves here. I actually bought all three team sets first, then found the individuals, and bought those too. I’m taking the team sets back, as I already have the racers and pitty’s in them.
Also found lots of new cars at TRU and Walmart today – including Night Vision McQueen with the collector book.
The 3 haulers were are Wal-mart today for $13.77 each. Wal-mart also had Night vision McQueen at $6.49. So I guess Cars Toys Blog will be at Wal-mart today.
To show you how my Wal-mart works I also found the Wal-mart exclusive (small size)Barney Stormin from Christmas 07; no telling what’s in the stockroom.
The search is all the fun. Plus every pit has more han one pitty!
I was never able to get find Bruiser in the Wal-marts in our area and hunted him for ages in 2007. ( I refuse to get him on ebay or amazon, since the search is half the fun.)
I think Bruiser Bukowski came out in Fall of 2007. So, many got it then, and I don’t think it has been re-released.
Yeah, I have all the racers and the pittys, so I don’t need the Target exclusives either. I would just like to find the haulers by themselves.
So maybe it was just me I have had bruiser FOREVER and think those are a waste of time….. Guess it was just me.
Finally! Bruiser Bukowski, you will be mine!!!
