Mater’s Tall Tales diecast have arrived. Rescue Squad Mater is showing up now at Toys R Us across the country. Except for my Toys R Us, as I haven’t seen them yet. Here is the checklist again. There are singles, 4 packs and Mega Size.

I managed to get these early, but I was a little upset with the price of the 4-packs at TRU ($24). I just saw the 4-packs at Target for $18. Figures! If I had waited, I never would have seen them again.
Have you noticed the single Rescue Squad Mater & Burnt Lightning McQueen have different Mouths & Eyes, than the 4 pack same cars?
Yes, we were told this in a blog. There is also to be a Dr. Mater mask up and mask down. I’m not sure if the 4 pack is one of these or if there will be 2 seperate singles.

Bought both sets on the 10th. TRU re-stocked them today along with the 1st series of singles. So most TRU should be in stock now. We still haven’t gotten the orderlies, the trooper, or nurse GTO yet in Albany, Georgia.
Between two Toys R Us in Philly, I put together a complete set of Rescue Squad Mater and Dr. Mater characters (Rescue Squad Mater, Helicopter, Ambulance, & Trooper, Dalmation Mia & Tia, Burnt Lightning McQueen, Dr. Mater, Nurses Mia, Tia, Kori, & GTO, & Orderly Pitties). Don’t tell my son, though. They’re getting put away for Christmas.
Has anyone been seeing Rescue Squad Mater? I’m near Nashville and none of the stores, Wal-Mart, Target, or Toys R Us seem to be stocking anything new. I’m wondering with the economy the way it is, if they aren’t waiting for Christmas to get closer to stock the new items. My son has been wanting Rescue Squad Mater since he saw the cartoon short and I wish we could find one already! :0)
I have seen none in Knoxville either. I think it is the area as they are being found everywhere else. Be patient is what I have learned. Soon they will be everywhere, especially with the holidays coming.

I walked in Wal-Mart here in Augusta,Ga yesterday and they had the Rescue Squad Helicopter. It was the only one I could find in the store, so not sure where it came from. I tried to do a price check and nothing came up.
Well, my wait is over! We went to the Toys R Us in Franklin, TN today and they had 2 Rescue Squad Maters, the ambulance and a few 4 packs. We got a single Mater and the Mater/Mia/Tia/Helicopter set. They had the Dr. Mater set also, but we can’t go too crazy in this economy! Mater’s adorable, but my son wanted the hose nozzle to face forward like in the short. It’s always something with him……. :0)
