This year’s Mattel San Diego exclusive for the Cars line is Tokyo Mater! Mater will have the flames shooting out the back, and it looks like he will have the special “Ransburg” chrome paint job that all the other SDCC exclusives have had.
The price will be $20, and will include special packaging for this exclusive. These will be available at San Diego Comic Con in July. Mattel has said that all exclusives from the show will be available for sale on MattyCollector.com on Monday, August 2nd.
Update: I just had a thought that this may be the first retail version of Tokyo Mater that we will see.
Would you be kind enough to share a list of all the released and expected Cars Toon cars with us? I think The Boy and I have all the Mater the Greater cars – and the Rescue ones – but I would like to be sure. You are so generous to do this site; thanks for all.
