Here is a look at the upcoming Final Lap Artie carded out now.
Artie looks a lot like, could it be, Snot Rod maybe? More reuse. Something we will continue to see as Mattel finishes up the line.
Artie is #149. Here is Artie’s bio from the Pixar Wiki.
Artie started covering local sporting events back in Wilmington, Delaware, but caught the attention of Racing Sports Network executives with his ability to not just cover the race, but the story of the race as well. Artie likes to say, “If there’s a story out there, I’m just trying to cover it.
Good news, Final Lap Artie is part of the most recent series which is showing up at Targets in the US now. Click here to search for Artie on eBay.

Artie does look like Snot Rod because he may have two sides one for work and the other side is for play.
I compared my Artie and Snot Rod, and they are different. Artie is about 1/4 inch longer, not counting his headset. Also, Artie is 4 Door, while Snot Rod is 2 Door. So different bodies. Also, Final Lap Skip Ricter and Cars Tokyo Toon Ito San are both different bodies too. I expected for sure they’d both be Chuck Manifold repaints, but nope, they were both original bodies, and no repaints, although I am glad. Skip is a bit smaller than Chuck, and Ito San is bigger than Chuck. I wonder why Matell is spending serious money on new molds when they had perfectly fine and usable ones that would have worked just fine, although I am glad. But still, even if they’re repaints, bring ‘em on.
