Thanks so much, Dale. Now I have an easy guide to what is and what isn’t within scale.
I wonder if any of you have seen the Disney Store Monster Truck, Paddy O’Concrete? The scale is 1:48 – and, I think, the Cars die-cast scale is 1:55. I am wondering what these numbers mean – Paddy O’Concrete appears to be the larger variety of the Monster Truck – but I’m just not sure. Does anyone buy at the Disney Store? I never see it mentioned. Thanks!!
Scale is ratio for every 1 of something the real is 48 or 64 or 43 or 55 for our purpose. 1/64 is Hot Wheels or NASCAR. Pixar Cars are reported as 1/55 like we buy. So the 1/43 and 1/48 are larger. The really big cars and trucks you see in Wal-mart about 10 inches long are 1/24th. In the 60′s our model cars we made from kits were 1/25th.
