When I got to my Kmart today in TN, they had forgotten about the event and then couldn’t find their cars!
Anyone know of a way other than ebay to get “Apple” #84, the all white race car…I think it’s the only one I’ve yet to find. I believe all the others have been released through the Kmart exclusives.
Sorry to say it but I think eBay is the only way you’re going to get one. I bought one on eBay and it’s very nicely done and I didn’t pay a fortune for it either. Good Luck!
the event went good here in auburn maine there were 10 people and 16 boxes so there was enough to go around got the 12 i’m happy
Event went very smooth since my wife and I were the only ones there. ! case of 4 cartons. We got both 2010 posters plus 2 of the each “Collect Them All” sheets. I got my 10 and the grandsons got 5. (They don’t need rubber tire duplicates.)

No K-marts in my area in Canada, but I will have to cross the border and take a look nearby in the Buffalo area. It will be great to finally be able to get Gask-its – thank God I never dropped a small fortune on ebay to get one of the French ones – though I did spend a bit to get a Faux wheel Drive and a Sidewall shine on ebay a year ago. Still, ebay seems to be the only option to get many Cars that never are stocked or available in stores.
I hope there is a plastic tire version as well.

I’ve already started restacking carts at the front door for the front desk woman. I always say good morning when I check inventory. The toy area manager and I are on first name. They have always held posters for me. Kmart, TRU, and Target are my friends because they take an interest in me as a collector for the grandsons. The other store won’t even say ‘Hi” when I’m in there so their hooks are never straightened. Be friendly and it will pay off.
At Target and Toys R Us they are my friends. They help me and hold an item for me if it’s something I want. My “Marts” Walmart and KMart are the opposite. Very rude.
I agree – I straighten up the whole Cars area every time I look through it – and the people working there who are in the toy aisles seldom miss greeting me as Nana. Be nice; it usually works.
