Wrapping up the Comic Con coverage from this year is another upcoming Cars Toon, Heavy Metal Mater. I think it is safe to say Mattel is going to push these pretty hard. Let’s hope they can actually make it to stores, as many of the others from this line haven’t seen great distribution.

Flo with Tray is from the Flo’s V8 Cafe scene at the end of the Cars movie. This same car is a part of the new Flo’s V8 Cafe 5 pack with Hank Hallsum at Toys R Us now. There is also a lenticular 3 pack version and a single carded version.

Artie looks a lot like, could it be, Snot Rod maybe? More reuse. Something we will continue to see as Mattel finishes up the line.

Someday, when Bert finds a gallery that understands his abstract motion-blur photography, he’ll be recognized as the true artist he really is. In the meantime though, it’s his job as paparazzo that pays the bills. And yes paparazzo is the singular use for paparazzi, and yes it means oversize mosquito in Italian.

Mathew “True Blue” McCrew has been a King fan from the first time he came off the production line. In fact, everything in Mathew’s house is painted King Blue, including the light bulbs. Because for Mathew, being a King fan isn’t reserved for race day, it’s a way of life.
