While I haven’t seen any new 3 packs in my area, case F is out now at retail. Case F continues the Piston Cup theme. The new 3 pack in case F is Shiny Wax with Shiny Wax, Nebekenezer Schmidt (Shiny Wax Pitty), & Senior Trax (Crew Chief). Here is the case assortment for case F.

In the month of October, Wal-Mart is getting a Cars endcap, and it is already being found by collectors. In fact, it doesn’t seem to be that hard to find, since eBay is already swamped with the new Cars.
So what new Cars are on this endcap? How about Sally Cone, Dexter Hoover (yellow flag) and Spin Out McQueen. Not enough, you say? Well then, how about oversized Cars, Lightning Storm McQueen, Al Oft and Barney Stormin. That appears to be it, even though rumors abounded of a Wal-Mart exclusive wave similar to last year’s. These Cars are, in fact, not exclusive to Wal-Mart, but will be appearing in later case assortments.
As I said, I don’t think these will be too hard to find. If you are having trouble, just be patient. Wal-Mart is notoriously unreliable with receiving and displaying product according to a calendar.

If you haven’t heard yet, Race-O-Rama is the theme for next year’s Cars diecast cardback art starting with case A, which should be shipping soon. I love the way it looks, but it does seem a little confusing. One, I’m not sure how it ties into the World of Cars (it still carries the World of Cars logo.) Two, I’m not sure how it appleis to other Cars that are not racecars.
Anyway, we now know what the next chase Car will be, “Impound Lightning McQueen!” I know that’s exactly what you wanted right, another Lightning McQueen variant? Well, don’t worry we haven’t seen the last of the Lightning McQueen variants yet. You can expect to find Impound Lightning McQueen in case A. No word yet on the edition size or whether it will be one per case, the same as the previous chase Cars.

In Cars movie news this week, Disney announced that Cars 2 is getting pushed up a year from summer 2012 to summer 2011. Reportedly, “the plot will feature Mater getting his passport as he and Lightning McQueen travel around the world.”
Sounds interesting, but this got me thinking, could I write a better movie? What about you? I have a lot of faith in Pixar, but they have only done one other sequel. That synopsis just doesn’t seem to fit the Cars universe. Hopefully, Pixar will prove me wrong.
Here’s my idea: “Cars 2: Electric Boogaloo.” The plot: Mater and Lightning McQueen try to stop a developer from bulldozing a Radiator Springs community recreation center. Discuss.
