Continuing our look at upcoming carded Final Lap Cars, here is a look at the upcoming Final Lap Marty carded.

Final Lap Marty Carded
Marty is #151. Here is Marty’s bio from the Pixar Wiki.
Marty doesn’t feel alive unless he’s got something to worry about. Whether it’s his receding tire treads, politics, the teenagers next door, fossil fuel running out one day, or the general state of the world, Marty is only truly happy when he’s miserable.
Final Lap Marty is only out overseas but presumably will be in the US shortly. Click here to search for this on eBay.

Matti Carded
Here is Matti’s bio from the Pixar Wiki.
Matti is the producer of the number one radio talk show in the bay area, hosted by top reporter Kori Turbowitz. Matti goes out in the field with Kori everywhere, and together the two are unstoppable.
Final Lap Matti is only out overseas and presumably will be in the US shortly. Click here to search for this on eBay.

Update: I just realized that this is the 300th post on Cars Toys Blog. This is a huge milestone, and I just want to say thanks to the readers! You guys are the reason the site exists, and I just want to thank each and every one of you for making it possible. Thanks!
Here is a look at the upcoming Final Lap Marlon “Clutches” McKay.

Final Lap Marlon Clutches McKay
Here is Marlon’s bio from the Pixar Wiki.
When you’re cornered by a mob of fierce paparazzi, there’s none better to call than Marlon “Clutches” McKay. A twenty year service veteran whose time was spent largely as an armored troop carrier, Marlon traded in his bulletproof glass to pursue his dream of becoming a Motor Speedway of the South Security Team Leader. He loves nothing better than locking grilles with nosy camera sidecars and personally showing them the exit.
Marlon with moving eyes is out now, but the Final Lap version is out overseas and presumably will be in the US shortly. Click here to search for this on eBay.

As you may already know, the Kmart Cars Collector Event 2010 is being held in Kmarts across the US on June 12th at 11 AM. Yesterday, I posted about the Kmart.com pre-sale and the details of the case that will be offered. Here is a recap for those of you planning on going to the event.
There will be 8 Piston Cup racers featuring the synthetic rubber tires. There are 24 Cars in the case. The rest of the assortment will be lenticular Cars. The case breakdown is available on the previous post as well.
The way previous Kmart events have gone is there is a line formed where each person gets to come up and open a case and get what they want out of it. Then the next person has a turn until all the cases have been opened. There hasn’t been enough attendance at any of the events I have been to, to cause any sort of a problem at all. But your mileage may vary.
Here is a flyer for the event.

I just realized the Recent Finds page is closed for additional comments. I think this happened due to a spam setting I recently added so that posts are automatically closed to comments after a year.
Anyway the old page is now archived, and I created a new page that should be used the same as the old page. Thanks to those who leave their recent finds info for everyone to see, and sorry for neglecting this page recently.

There is still a lack of new Cars around here. So I wouldn’t know from experience, but I have heard that new Final Lap Cars are starting to show up at Target. The latest assortment is case F. Case F has three new Final Lap Cars, Jamie, Johnny and Lightning McQueen with Cone.
These should be showing up soon at a store near you. And no I don’t know where they are in the movie. Mattel is really starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel with these characters.

This year’s Mattel San Diego exclusive for the Cars line is Tokyo Mater! Mater will have the flames shooting out the back, and it looks like he will have the special “Ransburg” chrome paint job that all the other SDCC exclusives have had.
The price will be $20, and will include special packaging for this exclusive. These will be available at San Diego Comic Con in July. Mattel has said that all exclusives from the show will be available for sale on MattyCollector.com on Monday, August 2nd.
Update: I just had a thought that this may be the first retail version of Tokyo Mater that we will see.

I mentioned this in my last post, but Final Lap Cars have not been getting wide distribution. That may be changing however. Hot on the heels of case D, case E is now showing up at Targets. Part of the reason may be that case E has 4 new Cars, instead of the usual 3.

Wet Lightning McQueen
New Cars in Final Lap case E are Jay Limo, Vern the Taxi, Race Damaged Mood Springs and Wet Lightning McQueen. You may be confused as to the difference between Wet McQueen and Doused Soaked McQueen. It’s pretty simple actually. Soaked McQueen is from Rescue Squad Mater and is slightly crispy compared to Wet McQueen which is from the Cars movie.
Mattel is definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel for Cars characters here. It’s a testament to how well they have done with the line though. It’s also why they are pumping out the Cars Toons Cars this year. Although the new Cars Toons Cars have been scarce as well. More on those this week also.
