Really slow in Southwest Georgia. Target still doesn’t have the new Christmas 5 pack so my daughter picked one up for me in St. Augustine. Did find “Chase” Mater with new hood yesterday at Wal-mart. Not one Chuy in my area yet, I gave the one I found in Valdosta last month to the grandsons.
I have to head up Cub Scout resident camp for 5 days starting on Friday so tomorrow is my last chance before Christmas at Target for anything new. Our truck comes on M-W-F. Maybe on the trip to St. Augustine for Christmas I’ll be lucky in all my stops along the way (6); no I’m not compulsive.
At Target today I found single pack stocking stuffers in the Christmas candy aisle at $4.99 each. Lightning, Mater, Doc, and the King. I didn’t spot any variations.
I found the Mater with Ghostlight Chase tonight at the Target in Hanover, MA.
I also picked up Dex, Rodney the Rocker and Eddie & Rocky (guitar pitties) from the Heavy Metal Mater series.
There was 1 more of each left.
Still no new Final Laps or Deluxe size Toons.

The Target Christmas 5-pack finally showed up at a Target in MA. It is exclusive to Target so they get you with a $29.99 price tag. I had to get one but most people probably can’t justify paying $30 bucks for 5 cars. The set is really only 3 full size cars and then Guido and Luigi which are only 1/2 size cars.
Guido, Luigi and Fillmore are the only new ones. McQueen and Ramone are the same as last years releases. But if you didn’t get them then the Target Mater Saves Christmas 5 pack may interest you. I agree $29.99 is high though.
I went to Target in Indiana I found the Mater Saves Christmas 5 pack set in Avon,Indiana. They have a boat load of the 5pack set, and also I found Milo, Valerie Veate, Marilyn, Timothy Timezone, and Cho. Talk about hit the jackpot.
Who are all these Cars? Wow!! Look at you, MT24!! I do have Cho – but the rest are not known to The Boy and me. Please give numbers and a brief description if you have time. Thanks!!

In St. Augustine/Jacksonville TRU in Valdosta yesterday found 1 Chuy. In Jacksonville today 2 different stores has a aisle 4-way. Got Dr. Abschlep Wagan, Komodo, Manji, Van-san, Teki & Paki, Kyandee, Big Fan (Mater the Greater), and Referee Pitty with bell. So 1 day left before the mad house to see if your TRU got the shipment. Good Luck! Yes I got one for me and one for the Grandsons.
Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!! I haven’t been around much – but just an update. I have all the Monster Cars that I know of, Deluxe #’20-27 – and Mega Chuy. Can’t make up my mind if I want all of the Tokyo Mater Cars for The Boy or not – but they have been prevalent at TRU. What’s out there is just so unexciting since “Nana has scored” all the race cars – Papa and I are building a big arena for the Mater the Greater and Monster Car crews for Christmas. All sorts of jumps and tunnels, etc. – just keeps us out of trouble!! Don’t eat too much turkey!!
I found the Octane Gain Team set at Target in Hanover, MA today. This set has a crew chief and three pitties.
This store had about 6 of these.
I can’t believe that these are finally starting to show up.
I bought one for $29 not too long ago, and now I’ve found a bunch of them.
Huge score at Toys R Us in Knoxville today. I found Chuy, the bulldozer from El Materdor. They also had Rasta Mater from the Wrestling Mater short. Also, I grabbed clean Dragon Lightning McQueen, Drift Party Mater, Abschlepp Wagen, Kaa Reesu and Kyandee.
I got 2 Chuys, but at $8 a pop, I stopped there.
Hope the truck is heading South to Georgia. Normally you seem to be the last stop in Knoxville.
This is the first time these are spotted at TRU, right. They have only been spotted at Target before. And TRU is way overpriced. Too bad they weren’t on sale.
Found Chase Mater with Ghostlight at Wal-mart this morning in Southwest Georgia. Package has Duff Wrecks in it, looks like 3 per case.

I found a Chase Mater with oil can and Tim Rimmer with moving eyes at Wal-Mart in Benton, Arkansas Saturday morning on my way to work. Still looking for the new Haulers. Wal-Mart is loaded with old ones so I don’t look to find any of the new ones there. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will start showing up at Target any day now.
I found I-Screamer, Mater with Beanie and Tim Rimmer at Target today.
I found I-Screamer, Mater with Beanie and Tormenator’s biggest fan. There are all in the Deluxe packaging.
Although I was not actually going out to look for these tonight, it was a nice surprise when I stopped by the toy department.
A pretty nice find tonight at Walmart in Abington, MA.
I found Stripped Kabuto at Kroger of all places. You hit the jackpot there every once in a while.
I found Rasta Mater and Chuy at the Target in Hanover, MA.
They had 2 of each, so I got them all. You can’t just have ONE bulldozer!
I also found another Chase Mater with oil can.
Chase Mater with oil can made it to Wal-mart here in Albany. I guess I’ll be at arget everyday at 8 looking for Rasta Mater and Chuy. I think 4 is the minimum for Chuy!
I found another Chuy at Walmart in Weymouth, MA today.
That makes THREE, I just need one more!!!
I still need El Materdor though.
I found the Holiday Cars 3 pack with Santa Car at Toys R Us today in Knoxville, TN. Santa Car looks amazing! I am so impressed Mattel actually made this. Now I am just waiting for McQueen with snow tires.
We found the Santa Car box set at Toys R Us tonight. Only $20!
They had plenty of them.
The new cube did not have anything new for me.
I am still looking for several of the new toons.
Scored the Bert and Artie at a Target in Little Rock this morning! I also got the Deluxe Size Chuy the Bulldozer from the El Materdor Toon. I had to work yesterday so I missed out on the K-Mart event. My wife took my place and got the rest of the racers that I needed to finish my Speedway of the South set. She also got the Chase McQueen and Dash Boardman so I’m extremely happy today!
Due to circumstances even I cannot yet quite believe (all good – no worries,) I wasn’t able to get to the P’cola K-Mart Event until 2:30 this afternoon; and, having been poorly attended, it was long over. I was able, by hook and by crook, to finally get the right person to go to the back and drag out the last box from the Event, containing what they could not get on the pegs in toys afterward – and, lo and behold, and with great joy, I was able to find the final 5 race cars I needed for The Boy – and Dash Boardman. But, sadly, I was unable to get a poster. I wish someone would post photos from it on this site; that would be a great favor to so many of us!! Please, please, please!!
went to the K-mart cars event today. Not a big turn out, maybe 10 to 15 people showed up today. I did get the entire set they were offering.I also got lucky an got the chase. Although every case that was opened seemed to have the Lightning Mcqueen Chase. It was fun only the second one I have attended. They Gave my daughter two posters as well. One of the posters shows some new cars that are coming out can’t wait to get them.
At TRU yesterday. Truck comes on Friday in Albany. Found 3 truck set of Rasta Mater with the different expression Lightning McMean. I call this one “Shocked” and the other one “Angry”. Yes I got a second Rasta Carien by buying the 3 pack but I’m sure in several years I’ll be glad. I know the grandsons won’t mine having two.
The new insert poster from Cars Day at K-mart lists a referee plus an I-Screamers Biggest Fan for this series.
The listings for the Tokoyo series plus those published on this blog have me completely confused. Someday we will figure it all out.
I show 91 more Cars from either this blog or other listings as still coming to Albany. I’m saving my money.
Went camping over the weekend and stopped at Wal-Mart in Malvern, AR to pick up a couple of items for the outing and just happened to find Bessie there waiting for me! That’s all there was to find but still happy to finally find something. Still looking and waiting for the new Haulers to show up.
Found a lot of new cars at two of my local Toys R US. I found Teki And Paki Pitty’s, Kaa Reesu, Van San, Drift party Mater, Kyandee. I the biggest find for me today was the Mater Saves Christmas 3 pack on available at Toys R Us. It has Whee Hoo Winter Mater, Hot Shot Lightning Mcqueen and Santa Car. Santa Car looks really cool, nice add on to the ever growing Cars collection.
Away for a week – just hit one WalMart – found #20 Deluxe Frightening McMean – I might get to a TRU later in the week – but ours is so poor that I have little hope of finding anything. Out and about here tomorrow – will see what I find.
Find? Surely you jest!! Boy, was that wistful thinking!! One Target and two Wally Worlds along the Gulf Coast – and not a new thing in view. Nothing in the back either, if you can believe that. They are hauling out lots of things for the holidays to beef up the toy departments. ?? Sigh!! Makes the K-Mart Event sound even better!!
Hit a mini motherload at TRU in DFW, TX yesterday: Big Fan, Van-San, Beanie Mater, I-Screamer die cast, McMean/Tormentor/Dr Feel Bad die cast 3-pack, Corporal Kim and Captain Munier.
However, at WalMart I saw Corporal Kim and Captain Munier selling for $3.97. When you price-check scan them, one comes back as Cars Pick Up Truck and the other Cars Brown Sedan. Thanks Walmart! (I also saw some Mood Springs 33 Haulers there recently too)
I just found the Heavy Metal Mater 4 Pack, Matthew True Blue Mccrew, Matti, and Marty at Target today and it was found in Indiamapolis,Indiana.
Come into Albany, GA today also. Wal-mart had I Screamer, Beanie Mater, and Tormentor’s Best Fan. One week until Cars Day. I did get to open a brand new pack of lenticulars at K-mart on Thursday. No Chase car in the box! My friend Randy showed me it was a “check lane” package for the registers. Just my luck.
Going to Little Rock and North Little Rock tomorrow afternoon and plan on visiting 2 TRU’s, 3 Targets, 1 K-Mart and about 4 or 5 Wal-Mart’s. Hopefully, I can turn something up! I’m still looking for Mega Size Bessie, Burt, Artie and any of the new Haulers, so wish me luck!
I spent about 2 hours driving around looking for Cars toys and hit 2 TRU’s, 3 Target’s, 1 K-Mart, 4 Wal-Mart’s and ended up with nothing to show for it. NOTHING! ZIP! Well, I did find a couple of Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts, which is a rare feat in itself, so it wasn’t a conplete total loss.
Found a 3pk w/Richard Clayton kennsington, Fred, and some other Securtiy Vehicle at Target this week. I saw it again at a Wal-Mart.
It has been a while, but I finally found something new to buy. I picked up the Toons UFM #28 Corporal Kim Hum-V and #29 Captain Munier Helicopter. The best surprise was that this Walmart (Hanover, MA) had them coded incorrectly and they rang up at $3.97. So I bought 2 of each.
Walmart, the Alabama Gulf Coast, also charged $3.97 per Hum-V and Helo – must be an overall bar code mistake. But I like it!!
Yeah!! I FIANALLY found something new today! May be old stuff for the rest of you, but I got Marty Brakeburst, Matti, Matthew “True Blue” McCrew, Flo with Tray and Marlow “Clutches” McKay (fixed eyes) on Final Lap cards at Target. I’m STILL waiting for the new Haulers to show up. Anyone know when I might start seeing them? The hunt continues…
In the past week I was in 3 Wal-Marts and one Target – and I saw just the oldest of the old peg-warmers. So discouraging!! Am going to go to another Wal-Mart and another Target today, but I have little enthusiasm for it. Good for you, Poester67; you struck it rich!!

Now Wal-Mart. They had, of all things, Toons UFM #28 Corporal Kim Camo Hum-V and #29 Captain Munier Camo Helo. ????? So I bought them – but is there no rhyme or reason as to the order in which Mattel is releasing these things??? We jump right into the middle of UFM without the main characters and without even seeing all the Tokyo Drift stuff or the Materdor stuff. And now much Tokyo Drift stuff can there possibly be?? The list keeps growing and growing and growing……………..
And I am still confused about the release of Toons Monster Truck Mater charecters – are there going to be die-cast releases of those?
Yesterday, at Target, I bought 2 Kims and 1 Munier. (Also had Tormentor and McMean, passed, only collect new characters.) They rang up $5 each! Then, haulers. They had some in the back. I thought maybe they had Shifty, VT, Paul, or the Inc hauler (forgot his name). But nope, just a bunch of Macks (3), 1 Chick , Leak Less (2), Sidewall (2), Trunk Fresh (2), 1 Jerry and Gil (3). Those were the choices. Passed. Very dissapointed.

Carlos, are you seeing the plastic Monster Truck characters that have the “hydraulic” lift carriage that actually works? Or are they static Toons Deluxe, Mega or usual-gauge size? Is there only one type? Or both? I am so confused!!
They were both on the shelf. There was a lone Frightning McMean on the shelves I left on the shelves since it was too expensive with the puching action. They also had a mega deluxe Tormentor and McMean, left both. I think it’s reset time. And, a bunch of stupid Color Changers.
Over the past couple days on eBay there have been quite a few new posts from sellers in Australia for new in package Tach-o-Mint, Faux Wheel Drive, Gask-Its, etc. I never thought these were packaged individually before, so does anyone know if this means they will be coming to the US with these? Or are these knock-offs?

Went to Walmart in Nashua NH today and found Mood Spring hauler. First time I seen him up here, very rare. Now if I can only find the other haulers I need.
I went to target at Southport,Indiana and I found Final Lap Artie and Final Lap Bert and they just started to open the case and I come at the right time.
Wondering if anyone has a Richard Clayton Kensington that they might want to trade – I only have a few Cars to offer – but will list them if anyone is interested; they are all mint in packages. What happened to the “Trades” part of this web-site?

I have found Richard Clayton Kensington in a 3pack with Marco axelbender and alittle Fred w/lenticular eyes. I bought it at Walmart. Maybe your local Walmart or other stores might have it.
Took Labor Day off and Target got a truck. Still got 2 each of Matti, Matthew “True Blue” McCrew, and Marty Brakeburst. Wal-mart got a “new” shippment of lenticulars, I could tell by the 2 DJ chase and 1 Darrell Waltrip chase. So whren is new old?

Bubba, as a single?
I dont think there will be a single of Bubba ever made, but from what I have heard, the Story Tellers that were available last year at Target are gonna be available again this year. I hope this is true, because none of my local Targets got any of the Showgirls, Cousins, or Bubba Story Tellers.
We managed to get Wedding Ramone, Sponsorless McQueen and the Showgirls in 2009 – don’t want to buy Brand New Mater again to get Bubba, but may have to bite the bullet if they come out again.
I am wondering if my list for the remaining race Cars we lack is correct. The Boy has all but the following: #39 View Zeen, #54 Faux Wheel Drive (have seen this one in a Launcher package,) #74 Sidewall Shine, #80 Creme Filled Gaskits, #84 Mac Apple iCar and #101 Tach O Mint. Are all of these still coming? Thank you.

Can’t wait. And yes, Gask Its is coming too, I had a prototype image but lost it. All of the racers (except Apple) will be made as Pit Row launchers. I can’t wait.
There has been pics of Gaskits on card with rubber tires from overseas. He should be available at the next K-Mart day. Pics of Faux Wheel Drive w/ rubber tires, Sidewall Shine w/ rubber tires, and Tach O Mint w/ rubber tires are also coming from overseas.
You have seen Faux Wheel Drive in launcher packaging??? If you have, you should have got it!
I look at so much – maybe it wasn’t Faux Wheel Drive I saw. The Boy and I are not thrilled with the Launcher packaging – with his age group playing with them, those rubber bands do not appear to hold up. I finally found a package of small rubber bands that work – but after the initial disappointment, The Boy doesn’t pull the Launchers out much – racing by hand is our game. Don’t like those big Lightyear Tire Launchers – just more bulk to store. You have to remember, playing is how we roll, not collecting everything.
I’m not a big fan of the launchers either, but if it’s the only way to get them w/ plastic tires, I’m in.
I’ve been searching for a long time in vain here in central Arkansas. I have not been able to find anything for quite a while. I’m still looking for the new haulers, mega size Bessie and any new Final Lap cars. I could care less about the monster trucks or Toon cars but that seems to be all that’s out there right now.
At Wal-MartI found the Rust-Eze Lightning McQueen chase car at Avon, Indiana.
I was at my local Target and I was excited at first when I saw Mathew True Blue and Matti. When looking at them I noticed that they were factory errors. They both had the wrong cars in the package. Instead of True Blue and Matti it was Marion Clutches Mckay. There was about 6 or 7 of them like that. Being a toy collector i picked them up, Not really sure if they will be worth anything but I thought it was cool. I have notice there is a lot of factory errors out there. Starting to wonder if they are doing this on purpose just for the collectors. After I was bummed because I needed those two haha. Anybody think the same way about the factory errors?? I have quite a few now..
On the drive home from So FL, we stopped at the only Kohl’s in Pensacola – what a mess, as appears to be the usual – and nothing new. The TRU in P’cika – another mess, of course – did have the aisle cube. Absolutely nothing new – crammed full of original Cars releases and the earliest Toons.
After due consideration, I have decided to return the 4 Monster Trucks I purchased in So FL but did not share with The Boy – they are really aimed at younger kids – plus The Boy has not mentioned wanting them. My assignments from him for my next visit are “Jay Limo, Vern Taxi and Elvis,” all of which I have. Takes the pressure off!!

I found the MTT 3 pack at TRU in Indianapolis and I look in the cube of the cars and it was full of the same cars the only chase car is fred.
Grqandson’s mother just called from St. Augustine Target. Bert and Arnie are in the house. Grandsons now at 289 different cars; Grandfather 300 with a total cars count of 409. everyone has 4 troopers and a full pit crew for every team? No, just crazy me. Oh yeah at least 2 security vans and 10 track support cars or trucks. If the scene has 3 Grandfather has 3. I learned this when buying Star War figures for their mother back in the 80s; and yes we still have them all.
Went to Columbus, GA today. TRU had the cube and nothing was missing since nothing was new. It did have about 6 “Chase” Freds. In the regular aisle I found one box of Frightning McMean-Dr. Feel Bad-Tormenator. So maybe the truck this week in Albany will have the rest of the wreslers. Nothing at Walmart or Kohl’s.
We tried a K-Mart on Federal (Hwy 1) going south today in Deerfield Beach – and a different Target in Ft. Lauderdale. Nada. At K-Mart they had the cube in the aisle – half of it was full of Hot Wheels – and the other half with Cars race cars – but just the ones they had in the last Event – good hunting if you missed getting some of the racers.
Albany finally got the Monster truck trio so they should be in every TRU by now. No we weren’t big enough to get a cube so we have to pick the old tooners from the shelves.
Found Matthew “True Blue” McCrew at Target, and I bought him. I also found all the new Toons at Toys R Us. I passed on those, however.
In Target the other day and found Bert from the last lap series, other than that nothing new. Question?? does anybody know who Stu Bop the plane is? I saw it on Toy Wiz website but there was no photo. I do know he is a Mega Size character.

Hopefully it’s not just the helmet different. They also have Marco Axelbender, Brian, and Chuck “Choke” Cables for preorder. It says ships August. I think they’ll be out soon, because their Komodo preorder was accurate.
Bessie was at Kmart today in Albany, GA but TRU still hasn’t got a cube and nothing new at the other 3. Going t Panama City this weekend so maybe smething will pop up on the road. So watchout Dothan, PC, and Defuniak Springs.

There was nothing this weekend except for an old Chick Hicks chase with WC trophy.
Went to TRU on the north side of Ft. Lauderdale, on Federal HWY (1) today. Saw some Bessies and also the “Japanese” gang (Dragon McQueen, Kabuto, Yakosa, Mr. Ito – hope I am spelling the names correctly); also lots of re-releases of earlier cars. These were all on pegs on the Cars aisles – and on an end cap. They also had a couple of the Monster Trucks – but I still haven’t seen Dr. Feel Bad. And Dr. Mater with mask up.
I finally made it to TRU tonight(Brockton,MA). They did have the new cube and plenty to choose from. This cube had several Chase Fred. It had all the new MTT’s (Cho,Komodo,Ninja,Dr.Mater-mask up) in quantities. There was also about 10 Franks (no Bessies though). Then the bottom row was all the new wrestling/monster trucks.
I picked up all the new MTT’s, the Rastacarian and the 3-pack of Monster Trucks.
Had a great find in Manchester NH Toys R Us yesterday. I found Alot of the Monster Truck Mater toys in Mega size. I got Frighten Mcmean, Dr. Feel Bad, Tormentor. They also had alot of new cars from Toyko Mater series. I found Komodo, Cho, Ninja and Dr. Mater w/mask up. First time in awhile i found anything new at Toys R us. I guess I was just lucky that day. Walmart in Hooksett NH found the I Screamer from Monster Truck Mater, good find in two days.
I had a good day too in So Fl. Found all the Monster Trucks that Jay did except Dr. Feel Bad plus found Rasta Mater (yes, the Boy made me cave in and buy them!) at a new WalMart in Coconut Creek and at a Target in Deerfield Beach.
Also, at the WalMart I saw (not buying) several new Cars McQueen versions: with Whitewalls (haven’t seen for a long time), with Cone, with Rusteze Can, with Shovel – sorry no numbers – am using daughter’s computer. Also Axel Accelerator which is the same body as the Highway Patrol Car in the Mater the Greater line with different markings.
I also found Bessie at Kohl’s in Coconut Creek as well as at the new WalMart. Exciting day for me – and more shopping to come next week when The Boy is in his first week of school.
Cars shopping remains so bleak here – I did see the Sidewall Shine Hauler in a Pensacola Target – the only Final Lap car there was Chick Hicks. And they had an abundance of the first Mater the Greater vehicles, including the 4 packs, all old news. I leave for South FL Wednesday – I seldom find much there – but I do look. My daughter says the Kohls near her (in Deerfield Beach, I think) is not one of the nice ones, a disappointment.
Had to go back to Columbus, GA today (60 miles) and found Chase (#128) and Cone (#127) McQueens at the newest Wal-mart. Both were lenticular. I never seem to able to wait for Final Laps.
I went a website called Amazon.com and I order the 2010 Guide book with Dragon McQueen and the next day came so now I have 2010 Guide book with Dragon McQueen.
The Toys-R-Us at Indiana I find Kabuto at last but hurt for the other new cars is still on.
The “White Whale” has finally been caught. I found Bessie at Kohl’s in Hingham, MA.
When I checked the Cars section all I found were Marcos, TJs, Barneys, Lightning Storm McQueens and Elvises. But I took one trip around the rest of their very small Toy Box (that’s what they call their toy section) and I saw a package lying face down in some other section. I picked it up and flipped it over and sure enough there was BESSIE!
This piece is awesome. It is very heavy. I was expecting mostly plastic like the Elvis.
Now I was excited, so I went back to the Cars section and looked some more. This time I found the new “chase” Rust Eze McQueen.
This store also had the new haulers Vinyl Toupee and Shifty Drug.
So hit up your nearest Kohl’s. All toys are on sale. Buy one get one half off. Happy hunting!
I found Shifty Drug hauler at both the Columbus, Georgia and Dothan, Alabama Kohl’s over the past 2 days. I also learned you have to look everyehere in the Toy Box. Not lucky enough to find Bessie or Vinyl Toupe hauler. But, in Dothan the Target had Final Lap Johnny and Jamie, besides them there was no evidence of a new assortment; all they had were several Crusin and Lightning’s plus a Vern in Final Lap packaging.
It looks like Kohl’s is the place to shop for hard to find CARS items. I did not find Bessie tonight, but I did get a Vinyl Toupee #15 Hauler and Shifty Drug #17 Hauler at Kohl’s in Pembroke, MA.
I had only been to Kohl’s once before about a year ago and their selection was crap. But I saw the luck that others were having at Kohl’s around the country, so I figured I would try them again.
Their prices are a little higher than everywhere else, but they trick you with their “Buy 1….get a 2nd 1/2 off” deal. Which is then what you would pay everywhere else.
The haulers were $17.99. But if you bought 2, you would get the 2nd one for $9.00. So for 2 haulers that I figure I will never see at Target or Walmart, I spent the $27.00.
Found Bessie at Kohl’s here in South Carolina tonight!! The shocking thing about her, I thinks she’s about 80% diecast, she’s heavy!
I just got back from the Boy Scout Jamboree in Virginia. Do I feel 17 days behind? Yes! Saw nothing on the way up and was to tired to check on the way back. Tomorrow I hit all my Albany stores.
It’s more like forever to find new cars it had been a slow day and my last find was Bessie.
I picked up the 2 new issues in the Disney Store Cars line.
The newest ones are Pinstripe McQueen and “Chase” Red.
The Red has a Ransburg finish.

I found Bessie at Kmart today it was the only one left at the store
Lucky MT24!! I am almost (note: almost) tired of hunting new Cars to no avail – but Bessie might reignite the flame!! Our access to K-Marts is limitied – lots of driving time with almost nothing to show for it unless it is a Collectors’ event. K-Marts in this northern Gulf Coast area are not well stocked in general. Nor is the only TRS available. Disheartening.

Final Lap Case G has finally arrived in MA. I found what was left of the case at Target Stoughton, MA. I picked up 2 of each.
This store also had 2 brand new cases of Toons Case F with Ito San & Kabuto. The cases were just being put out this morning, so you should be able to get these new ones this week.
I found Ito San and Kabuto at Target in Abington, MA today. These are the first new Toons Cars I have seen in about 6 months.
I found Ito San at Hobby Town Usa today, there might be more new cars at flea markets and Hobby Stores than Target, ToysR-Us, Wal-Mart, and Kmart.
Found Artie, Bert, McQueen with Shovel and Flo with tray Final Laps here in South Carolina today. First new Final Laps here since January!!
Today at a northern Gulf Coast Target, I found Artie and Bert, #148 and #147, Final Lap packaging. Also in Final Lap there were McQueen with Shovel and the single Flo with Tray. They also have the 3-packs of Flo with Tray, and Waitresses Mia and Tia. No new Haulers or Toons.

It has been a while since I found anything new to buy. But tonight I finally found the Toys R Us Flo’s V-8 Cafe 5-pack with Flo w/tray and Mia & Tia waitresses. It was suprisingly priced at only $19.99.
FINALLY! I found Jamie, Johnny and McQueen with Cone today in Bryant, Arkansas. Still looking for the new Vinyl Toupee Hauler, Dragon McQueen with the new 2010 Collectors Guide and Flo’s V-8 Cafe set with waitress Mia & Tia and Flo with Tray. The hunt continues….

I found Mater The Greater 4Pack that has McQueen with Teeth, Lug, Props McGee, and Aviator at Hobby Town Usa.
On week long trip to St. Augustine to visit the grandsons. Yesterday 11 stops: 2 TRU, 6 Wal-marts, 3 Targets. Today with oldest grandson 1 TRU and 1 Target. Both Wal-mart and Target had Chase Filmore releases. Found 2, also found Team Bumper Save at Valdosta, GA Target. Picked up Cluth McKays at Wal-mart in McCleandon, FL. No new final laps at any Targets.
I have just been to a Target and a TRU on the north edge of Ft. Lauderdale – TRU had put Sarge’s Boot Camp on sale at 25% off $24.95. Not many of them on the shelf, just 4 or 5. Boot Camp was not reduced for clearance yet – that would have meant a discounted price with 25% off that. Watch for it to go lower maybe.
The Target did have a 5 Car Box containing Hank Hallsum, Mater, Waitresses Mia and Tia and Flo with Tray. I think it was $29.95, no more than that. We have all but Hank Hallsum, who is a repaint of some of the Crew Chief trucks and Dexter Hoover. Other than Jay Limo, Marlon “Clutches” McKay, Vern the Taxi, pretty much the same old peg warmers.
Actually found Johnny, Jamie and Lightning McQueen with Cone Final Lap at a Target in Knoxville yesterday. First time I have seen new Final Lap at Target in months.
I agree there seems to be a lot of reuse in these, adding insult to injury. Not to mention the fact they are $5 a piece.
Found #145 “Johnny” and #146 “Jamie” at Target in North Jersey. “Jamie” looks exactly like “Matti” photo posted on site.
I found Van w/stickers (with the Nice Butte sticker) at a Walgreens today. I do not usually find anything at Walgreens, so I was surprised to find this one today.
Question: If there is anyone who tracks the Cars by number, can you identify numbers 132 and 139? I have the Cars by number through 148 except for those two. Thanks for any assistance.
132 hasn’t been released yet, it is Wrecked Fabulous Hudson Hornet. 139 is Dexter Hoover with checkered flag.

Did find that #149 is Artie the Reporter. I surely wish I had the 2010 Collectors Guide, but I am hearing they are getting harder and harder to acquire at the original retail price with Dragon McQueen. I have never seen them on a peg. Going to So FL, Boca and Lauderdale area – never have much luck there, but we shall see…..

While on vacation in Georgia this week, I found Kabuto and Ito San from Tokyo Mater. I knew they were showing up but this is the first I had seen them. They are no. 12 and 13 in the Cars Toons series.
My wife and I spendt yesterday and today going to Brunswick and back. 3 Wal-marts and 2 Targets. Only evidence of anything was a TJ in a mega single. Was surprised Waycross Wal-mart had 3 Darryl Cartrip chases cars; how long ago was that? So Cars Toy Blog you had a better trip coming down from Knoxville then I did going cross state.
Is the Red in the Radiator Springs lenticular 3-pack larger than the original single Red with Stanley? I did see that 3-pack today.
It looks Red is the same size as the original Red, but Stanley is not in the three pack at all.
Found Radiator Springs 3-Car Gift Pack containing Waitresses Mia and Tia with Flo with Tray at a Wal-Mart in Pensacola. It was $10.97 plus tax. Hank Hallsum, which I have only seen in pictures, is supposed to be in a 4-Car Gift Pack with these gals – a bright blue truck, suspiciously like a repaint of Dexter Hoover. I am not eager to buy it unless it is somehow different when I see it, or The Boy has it on his list.
I went on a trip to Disney Land and found Fred with Fallen Bumper, Vinyl Toupee Hauler, and Shifty Drug Hauler. They had real life Mater and Lighting McQueen at FL.
I couldn’t get my grandson away for the real Lightning and Mater when they were parked. We were sitting on a wall for the Pixar parade and he almost took a header trying to get on the ground so he could chase them.. He’s only 3 so we couldn’t let him even try. I felt sorry for him because he cried when we stopped him. We found out that they are building a whole area for the cars rides and attraction. Didn’t find any new cars there in March but got some of the Tokyo Mater cars when we got home to WA.
I went on a trip this weekend and finally found some new cars that I’ve been looking for. I was able to locate a Chase Van with Stickers, Chase Fred with Fallen Bumper, Lightning McQueen with Shovel and Marlon “Clutches” McKay at a few Wal-Marts along the way. Still on the lookout for Mega Size Bessie and a Vinyl Toupee Hauler.
I found the Fillmore w/gas cans Chase today at Target (Hanover, MA). A brand new case was sitting on the floor waiting to be put out. I left the rest of the case as we do not collect the lenticular cars. I picked up a Mood Springs hauler, Lightning w/cone and Johnny while I was there too.
Then we went to Kmart (Braintree, MA) and got the Racers and we won a poster too. Big crown this time. There were about 40 kids and parents. This store got 5 master cases, which is 30 regular cases. There was plenty for everyone to get what they wanted. If anyone needs these, I am sure you could stop by tomorrow and get what you need.
This week at TRU, I found Flo’s V8 Cafe 5 pack with Hank Hallsum, waitress Mia and Tia and Flo with tray. I also found Chase Fred with dropping jaw. I also saw Fred at Target as well.
Last week at TRU, I found the exclusive Dragon McQueen with the Collector Guide. So those finally made it retail and that is the only store I have seen them at. I also found the Mater the Greater 4 pack with Mia and Tia and Rocket Mater.
Found #125 Chase Fillmore w/ Gas Cans and #126 Marlon “Clutches” McKay at the Rochelle, IL Walmart today. I don’t care for the “eyes” cars, and hope to find Final Lap versions of them all, so I can return them when I do.
A place a lot of people forget to check? KOHLS! They don`t have a lot, but I found yokoza there and haven`t seen him anywhere else in the charleston sc area.

I checked our local KOHLS today and found nothing. They had a very small toy section there but no Disney Cars of any kind. Bummer!
It’s been a LONG TIME since anything of significance has been located anywhere in the central Arkansas area. At this point I would be willing to purchase any extras at a resonable price from anyone willing to help me out. I prefer not to pay those ridiculous prices on eBay. I go to Target almost everyday waiting for them to put out a new case of Final Lap cars but pegs are full of old cars nobody wants and I’m afraid that it’s going to be a while before I find anything new. It’s the same at Wal-Mart too and Toys R Us is a joke but the hunt still continues…..
Went a Target at Indianapoils and I found Johnny and Jamie.
I was in a northern Gulf Coast Target near our home yesterday – and they had a whole peg full of Lightning McQueens with Shovel – and nothing else new. When I asked a clerk to check for cases in the stockroom, she refused – I said those magic words, “Do you have a manager on the floor?” Oh, my goodness, suddenly she able to get someone to assist me and check the stockroom. Imagine that! But, nada.
Found Lighting McQueen with shovel (lenticular eyes) in 2 of 4 Targets in Jacksonville today. Saw the old collectible sign no help for you in Valdosta, Georgia yesterday. Nice to know it won’t work with Nana Kay.
I never responded to you, Dale – I worked in retail and in several types of customer service for years before I retired. It is true, you can get more with honey than with vinegar – and you can get a new level of service most places by simply politely asking for a manager. Works most of the time. Oh, and sharing that you are shopping for Cars for your only grandchild doesn’t hurt a bit!!

The Target in Abington, MA got another Final Lap Case F with Johnny, Jamie and Lightning w/Cone. I picked up 2 of each. I also found 2 more Chase Fred w/fallen bumper.
There are still 2 of each of the new ones there as of 7pm.
I found a new Speedway 4-pack with Bumper Save, Gasperin, Lightning and Chick at Target today. These are Target exclusives. There were a few other 4-packs there but this was the only one I needed.
No sign of any new haulers, Van w/stickers (corrected actually with stickers) or any new Toons. Can’t wait for June 12.
I went to target and found waitress mia,tia, and flo with tray but I’m planing to find one at Toys R Us that has waitress mia,tia, flo with tray, mater,and the unknown blue pick-up truck.
It looks like the 2010 Guide Book is only being found at Toys R Us. I bought two today in Brockton, MA and there were still about six more.
This store did not have anything esle new, but I was happy to find the guide.
I almost forget that I found Shovel McQueen and Dexter Hoover w/Green Flag at Target but I have not found Fred with Fallen Bumper and the 2010 Guide book with Dragon McQueen.

I don’t understand why Dragon McQueen with the 2010 Guide Book is hard to find. The Night Vision McQueen with the 2009 Guide Book was easy to find.
The Dragon McQueen with the 2010 Guide and some Final Lap cars are hard to find. Some stores don’t get anything new at all and they only have the same thing from last year.
It’s hard to find because only TRU has it.
I went to Kmart today and I found Chase Darrell Cartrip, Dragon McQueen, and Yokoza.
This is an update I just found Nick Stickers, and One Eye Mater at the car show. This person wanted Nick Stickers for $10.00 and One Eye Mater for $13.00 and I made deal to trade for DJ and Dale Jr cars. To get Nick Stickers, and One Eye Mater and not to pay to high in money cost. I also went to Target and they had Van with Stickers.
I found the new 3-packs at Hanover, MA Walmart. I picked up the Mia & Tia waitresses with Flo w/tray. I also picked up the Red/Lightning/Sally 3-pack. These are lenticular but I couldn’t resist. I’m still waiting for the Toys R Us 5-pack.
Today at a Target in Panama City, FL, I found #123 Lightning McQueen with Shovel; and I found #15 Vinyl Toupee Hauler and #17 Shifty Drug Hauler. This was an antique- buying day trip – but I sneaked into the Target during a heated discussion about prices among my group at an antique mall, and I bought more than my haggling buddies did!! Tee hee!! As The Boy would say, “Nana scores again!!”

I picked up another Fred Chase today. So far I have only seen this case at Targets. I did see another Van with Stickers, but I left it behind. There have been reports of this car actually having the stickers as was intended. But so far all I have seen are stickerless Van w/stickers.
Speaking of stickers….Target has just started selling the Panini sticker book and sticker packets. If anyone is collecting these please let me know and we can trade doubles.
FYI: Fred with Fallen Bumper (and Stickers) is #121 and Lightning McQueen with Shovel is #123 for those of you who are tracking what you have or don’t have by number.
