Updated - August 17, 2008: In the past year since I posted this list, many of the case assortments have been changed by Mattel. So, I erased the original list since it was very outdated and created this new one. Being that Mattel likes to frequently revamp what’s on the assortment lists, I am basing the new list on what was shown at San Diego Comic Con 2008 and what is already known without tying the list to case assortments and release dates, although tentative release dates are listed if known.

Oh, good, at least there’s a list. That way, I can stay on track.
It’s a good thing you’ve got Cora Copper on the list; she’s scheduled for release this year. And you say in June? Well, that’s refreshing!
Since Cora’s a third party character, it’ll take longer for the other third party characters to be released. It could take next year probably.

Wow! Thanks for this site - my 3yo is a huge Cars fan and of course his slaves (Mum & Dad) are steadily building quite a collection - lots of fun actually.
Dear son keeps asking for “Dinoco Blue Mack”…referring to the 1/2 second shot in the movie with the Dinoco team in the background…there is a Dinoco truck which looks like Mack. Sigh…we have to find one! Do you know if any have, or are likely to be produced? We’re almost at the stage of spraypainting a red ‘Mack’ in Dinoco Blue ourselves

This information is usually given out to retailers to let them know what to order.
I don’t know why Mattel doesn’t have a link for Cars toys on their site. That should be pretty basic.

How do you come about this information? I’ve always wondered why Mattel does not have a link to CARS info on their main page. WHy would they not since its probably one of their highest selling product lines. Its sad that they haven’t learned how to advertise. They should be paying you money. Great Work on this site! John
Yes, it appears that way. “Sven Hummer” is the name of the Arnold character. According to this schedule, Sven Hummer is due to be out in mid-August as part of the T case. He will also be part of several releases after that.
Is there going to be an Arnold character released?
